Oddfellows On The Park nominated for top industry award
Oddfellows On The Park, set in Bruntwood Park, Cheadle has been nominated for one of the hotel industry’s top awards – ‘Outstanding New Hotel’ at the Independent Hotel Show, held in London’s Olympia. The annual awards celebrates the best in British hotels and is compiled by a team of hotel and industry experts.

The independently-owned, design-led boutique hotel opened in April 2017 and was a  culmination of a fifteen-month careful restoration that has transformed Victorian mansion, Bruntwood Hall. It is now home to 22 bedrooms, The Galloping Major restaurant, The Stud Room bar and salon, The Pigsty.

Jonathan Slater of Oddfellows Hotels said: ‘The Independent Hotel Show recognises independent hotels, not just through independent ownership but by possessing an independent spirit. To be recognised as hotels that tread the road less-travelled is exactly where we, as a hotel collection, want to be positioned. Oddfellows On The Park is the antithesis to a corporate chain hotel and we shy away from running our business with any pre-conceived hotel conventions.’

The Outstanding New Hotel Award will be announced at a ceremony held on October 16th in London. The public can vote at

Oddfellows On The Park is the sister hotel to Oddfellows, Chester ( It is the only hotel in the UK outside of London to be welcomed into the global Design Hotels™ consortium, and sits alongside hotels like Soho Hotel in London and Gramercy Park Hotel in New York.  Designed by Tim Groom Architects, with interiors by SpaceInvader, both Manchester based firms, guests enjoy interesting design pieces throughout - including a bike-chain chandelier that is inspired by the Bruntwood Park BMX track and lights up the grand staircase.

Flexible event spaces, the Parlor Bar and Parlor Rooms, are set on the park with direct access to the terrace. The Pigsty, a petite but perfectly formed salon de beauté, houses a relaxation area, two treatment rooms and a rasul mud room.
The hotel is open throughout the day and serves breakfast, lunches, afternoon tea and dinner.
