Cheadle Village

There's nothing like an old fashioned proper high street and Cheadle has exactly that.

During the Second World War, Cheadle and neighbouring Cheadle Hulme were believed to be sufficiently detached from Manchester and rural enough that evacuees could be offered a safe haven there. And although they now form an essential part of the smarter South Manchester suburbs, they still retain that historic village feel that makes them so special.

Cheadle's busy main street has a variety of retail shops, coffee shops, delicatessans and is given a splash of colour by the vibrant pavement display of Wilson’s fruit and flowers.
