Oddfellows Hotels are independently run and passionately delivered. Named after the band of misfits that was historically the Oddfellows society, we like our team to be as individual as our hotels.
Our employees are the crux of our business. They work and play hard, go more than the extra mile for our guests and understand that the only way to be great in hospitality, is to deliver with enthusiasm and panache. We like hotel experience but ultimately it’s the individual that matters.
In return, employees are looked after really well. We reward them, train them and we let them play a creative role in the way this exciting business is developing.
We need an extremely talented Sous Chef at Oddfellows On The Park.
Reporting directly into Head Chef, Ian Moss, we are looking for a gifted and capable chef to act as his right hand person. You’ll need to have excellent experience in a similar role, be passionate about cooking and brimming with menu ideas. We’ll be looking for an individual that is as highly-motivated, enthusiastic and energetic as our Head Chef, sharing his delight for food, ingredients and innovation.
Ideally you’ll have experience in fresh, seasonal British cooking and you’ll also be able to motivate, assist with leading and training our Kitchen Brigade. You’ll be able to assist with the management of Health & Safety and food legislation, mange a team and deputise under our Head Chef, control stock and oversee the smooth running of shifts. You’ll be a career-focused, driven individual looking to make their mark on the culinary world.
A 22-roomed boutique hotel; home to The Galloping Major restaurant, The Stud Room bar and wonderful events space, which all inhabits the beautifully restored Victorian Bruntwood Hall. Set amongst the 100 acres of Bruntwood Park, Cheadle, it offers a stimulating accessible work environment, close to Manchester city centre and surrounded by nature.
Dramatic by design, it is the only hotel outside London to be welcomed by the global community of hotels, Design Hotels.
In return, we’ll offer you a fun place to work. You’ll become part of the ‘odd’ family and we’ll invest in your training and development.
